As we age, we find more and more aches and pains that were never there before.
The legs hurt; for some reason
The arms lose strength
The fingers don't hang on to things any more,
Our food doesn't digest the right way
We take 'naps' because our body is tired
And just what is it that causes all of this 'OLD AGE'!!!

However, I call this 'maturity'. It not only sounds better, but I don't feel like such a basket case. Oh sure, they have fancy names for it: the elderly, senior citizens, baby boomers and many more, But it all means the same-OLD AGE!

Well, I have some news for these people. I am not old, I am in the prime of life, my body just chose not to go along for the ride.

How am I going to go about this?

Following these simple steps;

1. Move all of my furniture so I can walk without running into anything

2. Pick up all of the scatter rugs and put them away; I have always hated them anyway and it is one less thing I will have to wash,

3. Put anything heavy on low shelves

4. Pick up everything that I have displayed on the floor that is below knee level (no more bending for me)

5. Clean only three things a day, by the time the week is over my house will be clean; so don't come to visit me until the weekend unless you are going to clean it for me,

6. Spend more time for myself; outings, church activities, meal sites (Heck let them cook for a change)

7. I am going to get one of those new gadgets they make that opens jar lids and bottles. Now I can eat when I want to and not have to wait until I get company so someone can open all of the lids for me!

8. I am going to tell the pharmacist that I want easy to open lids on all of my bottles. The grandkids will be so happy, now they don't have to open the childproof bottles for me any more.

9. I am getting those handy little throw away wipes for polishing my tables instead of fighting with a spray can that is too hard for me to hold.

10. I am investing in a scissors that will cut through all of those easy-to-open bags they have AND I am buying a large box of ZIP lock bags to put the stuff in! Maybe now I can eat it before the expiration date!

11. I am buying one of those new hot wax machines they have to soften your skin. These poor arthritic fingers will 'love' me for it.

12. I am buying one of those new kinds of net cloths they have on the market. Soap lathers faster and I don't keep losing the washcloth because I can't hold it.

13. I am going to the pet store and getting one of those openers they use for kitty food to get that little tab thing to open. Gosh just think! I can open a can of soda all by myself.

14. I am investing in a back scratcher, it not only scratches' your back, but it is great for putting a piece of tape on the end and picking up something that I dropped.

Organizing your life is easy to do, just think of all of your aches and pains, get a few hints from an organizer and rearrange a few things and there you are- an organized senior citizen with an advanced learning ability. Let the younger generation top that one!!
