Leigh Anne
Jasheway-Bryant
"The Accidental Comic"
We are very pleased to welcome Leigh Anne to our talented group of featured columnists! She is stress management and humor expert, comedy writer, stand-up comic, and comedy instructor/coach. By her own definition, she has an M.P.H. degree which is either stands for masters of public health or mistress of public humor. In lieu of actually getting a real job, she consults with organizations (and disorganizations) on how to manage stress, change, and conflict through laughter. Her mission, (which she has decided to accept), is to help the world become healthier and more sane through laughter.
In 2003, she won the Erma Bombeck Award for Humor Writing, which probably explains her lovely laugh lines on her face, and so she tells the world, on her stomach, and oddly, her pancreas. She has thirteen published books to her credit and writes regularly for The Comic News, Diet & Fitness, and Low Carb Energy. When not avoiding work and trying to find things she has misplaced, she runs a stand-up comedy troupe at a really slow pace. Last year, they came in last in the Portland Marathon, but considering they had to visit every port-a-can, it was quite an accomplishment!
Enjoy Leigh Anne's special corners of humor in her Monthly Column on Mature Resources.
