Sometimes, as we age and seem to have accomplished much of what we set out to do in life, this goal may become a bit muted. We may start reflecting more on what has been than on what is and might be. |
Another Look At: "EAT PRAY LOVE"
As one of the millions who read and appreciated the memoir Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert when it came out a few years ago, I was both excited and frightened to see the film version starring Julia Roberts when it was released in August. Like many, I was disappointed a bit by the movie, primarily in my case because of the casting of Roberts in what should be a psychological drama. This just seems beyond her.
Positive Aging Skin Care
Today’s world seems obsessed with youth and maintaining an adolescent look. Celebrities and public figures reflect an unrealistic idea onto a society that is already obsessed with appearance. If a person were to act upon media examples alone, they could potentially spend millions over a lifetime on exhaustive procedures and techniques just to try to hide the natural process of aging.

Today's active Baby Boomers view age as a mere number. According to a Baby Boomer Survey by Del Webb, Boomers feel much younger than their actual ages. They found that, as age increases, the gap between many Boomers' real age and perceived age expands. Why do some Boomers feel younger than their chronological age? Reasons for this "fountain of youth effect" include a positive mental attitude, happiness and a good sense of humor.

If there were a magic potion that could make people stay youngforever, the majority of the population would line up in a hurry. Even though the so-called “Blue Zones” are no magic potion, either, it has been shown that people live longer in certain parts of the world.
