Don't Trust Anyone Under 30 - By Catherine Kenney The trenchant social critic and humorist James Thurber once pointed out that the elders of all societies have always decried the youth, while fearing for the future of mankind. Such hand-wringing is kind of their job. Many of us over a certain age used to believe an easy slogan of modern youth-worshipping America: Don’t trust anyone over thirty! we’d say, back in the day when that meant anyone who was born before us, members of the unruly onslaught of babies that boomed onto the scene after World War II. |

Mature Resources Publisher Launches Website, Facebook Community for Upcoming Book about Baby Boomers
When Sharon Sultan Cutler was reminded that 10,000 baby boomers would start turning 65 daily on January 1, 2011, she was well on her way to completing her first book, Once Upon Our Times™, scheduled for release in mid-summer, 2011.
The combination nostalgia book-American history story centers on the 1965 graduating class of East Meadow, Long Island, New York. The students’ stories recall the growing up years, junior and senior high school, careers, relationships, families, challenges and triumphs in the last 64 years.

The Brush Off
By Leigh Anne Jasheway
I had to buy a new toothbrush the other day and, after spending twenty minutes in the grocery store trying to decide between the forty-seven options, I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason we don’t have a cure for the common cold or regular space travel to Mars is that all the best scientific minds in American are working for the toothbrush companies. The good news is that if we ever do get to Mars, at least we’ll be able to help its residents in the fight against tooth decay and gingivitis.
