Hearing loss is a condition affecting more than 28 million Americans. Because hearing loss is invisible; almost always painless; and usually occurs gradually over several years, many people with hearing loss are not even aware of it. However hearing loss can have a major impact on the quality of our lives. According to a 1999 study conducted by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), hearing loss can restrict your ability to interact with others; prevent you from receiving important information; cause misunderstandings; heighten stress; produce unnecessary fatigue; and filter out the subtle sounds of nature. It can cause social isolation; aggravate emotional disorders; strain interpersonal relationships; mimic inattentiveness or poor memory; lead to diminished physical health and negatively impact self-esteem. It is obvious that hearing loss impacts one’s quality of life. 

At A.Bel Audiology Associates; we listen to your hearing needs, and offer options to improve communication ability, and the quality of life. The President, Paula Liebeskind; MS, CCC-A is a Clinical Audiologist with over 18 years experience in hearing and balance diagnostic testing; hearing aid fitting; and support in communication. She holds her Master’s Degree of Audiology; is a Doctoral Candidate at PCO; has her Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is currently Director of Audiology at A.Bel Audiology Associates in Pembroke Pines and North Miami Beach and the Senior Audiologist at National Balance Improvement Centers. In addition, we have a staff of highly trained audiologists and specialists to help you with the hearing rehabilitation process either at one of our conveniently located offices or at your home.
