A Letter from Our Editor
Sharon Sultan Cutler
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Dear Readers:
All of us have been touched by breast cancer some or even many times -either personally, or with relatives, friends, co-workers and even strangers we read or hear about. Especially during October, Americans are reminded daily with literature about early detection of breast cancer, treatments and valuable resources. We see the pink ribbon everywhere, including the pink pins many of us wear.
Lucky for me, pink has always been one of my favorite colors.
And, I too joined the ranks of breast cancer survivors 7 years ago. Thus began what I call “my new normal.” I often abbreviate those two words as “BC” – which in my mind means BC (breast cancer) survivors. Other times I think of BC as life “Before Cancer.”
